NanoVNA vs Conventional Antenna Analyzer - MFJ-259C or Rig Expert AA-600

NanoVNA vs Conventional Antenna Analyzer - MFJ-259C or Rig Expert AA-600

I bought an MFJ-259C a few years ago. Cost me about $550. It’s ok but a bit poor quality. Rig Expert are better for sure, but I wouldn’t buy a conventional antenna analyzer any more. The Nano VNA is the way to go and dirt cheap. Like US$50. There’s one with a larger screen now too for a bit more that’s worth the extra money in my opinion.

There was a detailed review in QST in one of the recent issues (last three months – I forget which one).

They tested it and found it as good as ones 10x the price.

It’s a whole new world of possibilities!
